About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Using 144 visa free transit with a layover in a different city

Can I use the 144 free transit if I am flying from Canada into Shanghai (Pudong Airport) and then flying out from Shanghai (Hongqiao Airport) - but with a 3 hour layover in Guangzhou, where I will not be leaving the airport?

Hi, you cannot use the 144 free transit because you have a stop in Guangzhou. Maybe you should apply for a visa in advance for the trip. Just in case.
