About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Do I have to do anything before my flight? or do i just fill out a form after i land in china?

Is there any form or registration I need to fill out or apply to prior to the day of my flight?
if not, do i fill out a form when i am leaving my country (United States) or just fill out something once i land in China?

Hi, if you want to apply for the free transit policy, you are supposed to inform the airlines that you want to use the free transit in mainland when you board the flight. Upon arrival, you can go to the transit counter to apply for the free transit by showing your passport and onward tickets.

The only form you need to fill out is the arrival/departure card which is usually handed out during your flight or can be found next to an immigration counter.
