About:How to Apply for a China Visa

Using 144-hour transit visa on visiting Shanghai

Hi. I am holding a passport of eligible schengen country. I have one meeting in Shanghai next week and dont have time to apply for entry permit. Can I use the free transit in this case? My plan would be to fly HEL-LHR-SHA-LHR-HEL.

Thanks!

Hi, you cannot use the free transit in this case because LHR-SHA-LHR is not a transit. You are supposed to apply for a visa beforehand.
