About:How to Travel to China without a Visa

Transit visa for Indians for less than 24hrs

Hi ! We hold Indian passports and have an 18 hour layover in Guangzhou enroute to New Zealand. We would like to leave the airport and visit the city , is an entry permit a required? If yes , Can we get on arrival at airport or apply for one at Chinese embassy in India?

Hi, you are supposed to apply for a transit visa if you will leave the airport and visit the city. You cannot get it on arrival, and you should apply for one at CVASC in India in advance.
