About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

240hrs visa question for US Citizens

I am planning a trip to China and would like to verify my eligibility for the 240-hour (10-day) visa-free transit policy. My itinerary is as follows:
Arrival: JFK → HND (Transit) → PEK (Beijing)
I will be taking a high-speed train from Beijing to Xian and an internal flight from Xian to Shanghai before exiting China
Departure: PVG (Shanghai) → ICN (Transit) → UBN (Mongolia).

Could you please confirm if this route qualifies under the current transit visa-free regulations?
Thank you for your assistance!

Your itinerary is definitely eligible for 240 hour visa free transit. Your immediate points before and after mainland China are located in two different countries (Japan and South Korea) and you can proceed with your travel plans in the exact way as you have planned with absolute peace of mind. Have a nice visit to China.
