About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Indian, Traveling to Hanoi from Dubai via Wuhan and Guangzhou

I am an Indian national traveling from Dubai to Hanoi on China Southern Airlines.
I arrive from Dubai to Wuhan on 15th at 10.25 am, then take a flight from Wuhan(13.30) to Guangzhou(17.20). Then overnight stop over in Guangzhou airport.
My flight to Hanoi is on the next day 16th 09.40 am. So I leave China within 24 hours.
Is it possible for me to stay in Guangzhou Pullman hotel using the 24-hour TWOV facility.
Please don't ask me why I booked such an itinerary :(... was looking for the cheapest option.

You need a visa, or you need to change your flights. Transit including multiple stops within China is permitted at Guangzhou (CAN) only when the first transit point is Beijing (PEK).

Thanks Rob,
But I won't need to take a visa/change flight if I stay inside the airport?
Or do I need an entry permit even to land at Wuhan and then go to Guangzhou?
I have mailed the airlines, but there is no response yet.

Hi, Ann, you need a visa even if you stay inside the airport in Wuhan.
