About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Hanoi --> Kunming(transit) --> Shanghai --> Taipeh

Hello, I was wondering if I am eligible for the 144 h free transit when I fly from Hanoi to Shanghai but with one stop in Kunming (3 h layover - mainland China - same Airline) and then after 120 h in Shanghai to Taipeh. Is it working, when I would not immigrate in Kunming but only take as Transit?

Thanks allot

You need a visa because you transit in two cities.
