About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Inquiry for 2 stops

Could you please clarify, do you mean my 2 stops are Shanghai and Guangzhou? Is Shanghai considered a stop even though my one-way flight from Macau to Guangzhou requires me to layover in Shanghai for only a few hours and I will not be leaving the airport? Thanks!

Chris, the 72 hour policy is only applicable to those who transit in ONE Chinese city, so if your will transit in both Shanghai and Guangzhou, you cannot use the 72 hour free transit then. A transit G type is required.
