About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Indian citizen traveling from Canada to India via Shanghai

Hi! I am an Indian National travelling from Canada to India via Shanghai. I have a stopover in Shanghai for 19 hours. Do I have to apply for a transit G?

From what I read on the website, Nationals from most countries do not need a transit visa, as long as the stay at the airport is less than 24 hours. I am asking this just to confirm everything.

Vaish, no, you don’t need to apply for a transit G type. You are eligible for the 24 hour direct transit in Shanghai.
