About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Using Free Visa

We are flying from Japan - Shanghai - S. Korea and our reverse trip will be S. Korea - Beijing - Japan. Do we qualify for free transit both ways?

You won't need a visa for 144 hours transit (Shanghai) and 72 hours (Beijing), assuming you have a qualifying passport and are on non-stop flights.
