Bullet train Hangzhou/Shanghai/Hangzhou

Hi
I will be in Hangzhou for a week and would like to take a trip to Shanghai.
Can i buy a bullet ride ticket at Hangzhou railway station Hangzhou/Shanghai on 21st Oct and also buy the returned ticket Shanghai to Hangzhou for 22nd Oct morning. i am staying in Holiday Inn Exoress in Zhabei so Shanghai railway station is more convenient or i have to take train to Hongjiao which is further from my booked hotel in Zhabei?
