Travelling card in Beijing

I will be in there in late November and travelling around town using the subway for 3 days. I would like to know how does an ordinary travelling card work, where to get and how much does it coast?

You can buy the card at the main subway stations, including the station at the airport, Xidan, and Tiananmen. Except for the money you top up, the extra CNY20 is also needed as deposit, and the balance & deposit will be returned when you return the card. .
