UK Citizen arriving in Hong Kong then travelling in Hunan and Guangxi by train and coach

Hi. I am a UK Resident. I am hoping to fly into Hong Kong August 22. Visit Macau by ferry overnight. Travel back to HK. Sightsee in HK, maybe go to Guanzhou by train. Also plan to visit (for less than 10 days) Guilin, Yangshuo, Lohgji, Fenghuang and Zhangjiegie. We also plan to fly out of HK to Indonesia and back to HK. We will finally leave for our return to the UK on Sept 21 from HK by air. What type of visa would I need and do I need to have proof of China accom or anything else please?

Very kind regards,
Steve

A tourist visa is needed for your China travel, Steve. The documents required for the application include passport, application form, recent photo, round-trip tickets and hotel bookings. For more information: https://www.travelchinaguide.com/embassy/visa/tourist.htm.

Or you can go to Mainland China from Macau directly without going back to HK to form an eligible route for China’s 240h visa free transit: Macau – Mainland China – HK. In this case, no visa will be required from you. FYI: https://www.travelchinaguide.com/tour/visa/free-transit-144-hours.htm
