144 hour free transit policy to Shanghai

We plan to go to Japan and Shanghai in January. If we fly from Australia to Shanghai first (stay 5 days) then Shanghai to Japan (7 days), Japan to Shanghai (2 days) then Shanghai to Australia. Two stay in SH are less than 144 hours before departure. My question is are we qualify for applying 144 hour free transit policy to Shanghai?? Thanks
