About:Adopt Chinese Children

Adoption of friend's baby

We live in Singapore and a friend in China is pregnant. We know she can't afford to raise the kid and would like to adopt the baby once born. Anyone can advise if it is possible and how to go about doing it? Tks!

According to the Adoption Law of the People's Republic of China, if the child whose birth parents are incapable of providing for them because of unusual hardship, the child can be adopted by foreigners.
If you satisfy the conditions shown on this webpage, it would be possible to adopt the child.
For example, your adoption shall be examined and approved by the responsible agency of the adopter's resident country. Besides, you must submit the following documents to the China Center of Adoption Affairs.
