About:Transfer in T3 of Beijing Capital Airport

DXB to LAX with connection in PEK and 23 Hr Layover

Hi, I am travelling from Dubai to LAX in November with Air China. Flight connects in PEK with a 23 Hr Layover. I am applying for Chinese Visa and will like to leave airport and check in a hotel as my flight is scheduled to arrive in China PEK at 12.55 pm and leave on 12.00 noon next day. Can you advise me how the arrangements to be made. I will be arriving and departing at Terminal 2 PEK. Will I be allowed to leave the airport, will I have to collect luggage and re-check in, and finally how much time is will I need for checking in at PEK.

Thanks.

Al

Don't worry. You need to apply for a stay permit at the airport first and then you are allowed to leave the airport. You can omplete the "embarkation/disembarkation card", together with your travel documents, boarding pass for the onward connecting flight and travel itinerary, go to the inspection counter of China Immigration Inspection to apply for 24h stay permit.

If you wanna leave the transfer area, you need to collect the luggage and reclaim them. Generally speaking, you are advised to prepare at least one hour to finish this transfer at PEK.

Hope helpful!
