About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

12 hours layover in Guangzhou, is 24 hour direct transit applied still?

We flight from Japan to Vietnam with 12 hours layover in Guangzhou. I just heard from 10/08/2017 the immigration stops giving out 24 hour direct transit. Is it correct or not? Do you have any updates? Please help and share the info. Many thanks for your time and have a good day.

I haven't heard that. Personally I think you can enjoy 24 hr direct transit in Guangzhou. But if you have doubts, you can call the airport to ask about that, and the telephone is 020-36066999.

I have called the representative of CSA in Vietnam and I have received the confirmation that if we layover in Guangzhou for 12 hours, we can't get out of the airport and enjoy the free accommodation with CSA. Just be aware of what is happening at Guangzhou airport. Luckily we have 24 hours to return the tickets so we chose a different airlines instead.
