Do i need a transit G to go to nairobi via China?

I am a Kenyan national currently residing in Japan, i will be traveling to my country through China and i will need to change airports in China. My question is, do i need to have a transit G to be able to change airports in China? My change time will be about 4 hours..

Elphas, if you enter a city which carries out the 24 hour direct transit policy, you may be able to use the direct transit. In this case, you don’t need to apply for a G type for that.
