How can a Kenyan Citizen travelling by air from Christchurch, New Zealand to Nairobi, Kenya, with an 18 hour layover at Baiyun International Airport, Guangzhou, get the 24 hour a transit visa?

You don't need a transit visa for this trip.

If you wanna leave the airport, you can apply for a temporary entry permit at the immigration.
But you have no guarantee that you will get a permit to leave the airport.

Print out your flight documents and, if you ahve, a hotel reservation.
