About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Flight from US to Hong Kong to Ho Chi Minh and back to the US

I am traveling from the US and arriving at Hong Kong on Thursday at 7:00 pm. Then I am leaving Hong Kong on Sunday at 5PM (less then 72 hours) to Ho Chi Minh City where I be staying for a week and flying back to the United States from there. I am eligible for the 72-hour Free Transit?

The 72 hour rule only applies to mainland China. Hong Kong has totally separate immigration rules.
