About:Beijing Capital International Airport

For business class from JFK, USA to PEK, then transfer to SHA. Do I need to checkout my Luggage?

I bought business class ticket from New York (JFK), USA to Shanghai (SHA), China, via Beijing (PEK). Do I need to check my luggage for he transfer at the Capital airport?
