About:China Visa Exemption

72 hour free transit policy in Guangzhou

Hi there, i am a us citizen traveling from Da Nang, Vietnam to Guangzhou tomorrow.
I have booked hotel in guangzhou for 2 days. i do not have a visa

can i fly from guangzhou to hong kong and then the us?
can i fly from guangzhou to beijing and shanghai and then the us?

Hi, the 72 hour free transit policy can cover your trip of Vietnam-Guangzhou(2 days)-HK-USA, and you are not allowed to go to Beijing and Shanghai from GZ.
