Australian Travelling to Malaysia via Shanghai

Hello,

I plan on going to Malaysia later in the year and am considering adding a stop in Shanghai to visit a friend for a few days. Can I go without a Visa is my stay is less than 72 hours?

Felicity, if you travel like Australia – Shanghai (144 hours)- Malaysia, you can enjoy the 144 hour free transit. No transit G type or other types will be needed then.
