About:China Visa on Arrival

72 hr free transit Guangzhou

Can I fly in to Guangzhou from Amsterdam direct and fly back via Paris (3rd country) to Amsterdam and apply for the 72 hr free transit ? Thank you.
I am a Dutch passport holder residing in the Netherlands.
