About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Canada - Shanghai

I'll be flying round trip from Canada to Shanghai (direct flight) with my wife and our 4 months old kid. we'll leave Canada on October 29th and fly back on November 30th. Once we get to Shanghai we'll stay 1 night and then fly to Taipei to stay there 3 days. We'll then fly to Vietnam and then Bali. We'll then fly from Bali to Shanghai on November 29th, stay 1 night and then fly back to Canada on our roundtrip flight on November 30th. Can I apply for the 144hr free transit for myself, my wife and our 4 months old kid? Or is the 24-Hour Direct Transit applicable?

Hi, in principle, you qualify for the 144 hour free transit in Guangzhou, but as you just transit for no more than 24 hours, you can use 24 hour direct transit in Shanghai in both ways. Have a nice trip!

Thank you Mark. I'll be flying to the Shanghai-Pudong airport. Does the 24 hour direct transit applicable too? How much is that transit? is it free? Can I get more information about the Temporary Stay Permit? Thank you
