About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Indonesian to Canada via China

I'm going to Canada with canadian visa, my flight is transiting in China for less 24hr. do i need entry permit in china? can I go out of airport or re check in baggage.

Asep, you are eligible for the 24 hour direct transit in Beijing, no Chinese visa is needed for that. You may be required to apply for a free temporary stay permit at the immigration office when you arrive at the airport. Afterwards, you can leave the airport to re-check the baggage.
