About:Chinese Embassy in U.S.A.

Does the 144 hr free transit rule apply if you travel from USA to Shanghai then board a RCCL Cruise

which also makes a stop in Hong Kong and eventually ends in Singapore?

So you mean you will travel like USA-HK-Shanghai-HK-Singapore? If yes, you won’t qualify for the 144 hour free transit in Shanghai as it is not a transit at all.
