About:China Visa

I'm a Malaysian who planned to travel to Tibet with a HK friend who is holding a Chinese passport.

I understand that she has no issue with entering Tibet but me. So I am just wondering is it the only option for me to join a short group tour & apply permit with travel agency, and then meet my HK friend to travel together? Or I have to stick with the group tour all the time during my stay in Tibet

Leone, yes, you need to apply for the Tibet travel permit visa a travel agency. Afterwards, you need to enter Tibet with a tourist group.
