About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Tokyo Hong Kong and Shanghai

I am traveling from the US to Tokyo for 6 days, then to Hong Kong for 3 days and to Shanghai for 2.5 days. I will return to Japan after Shanghai for another 6 days.

Do I need a visa for Hong Kong or Shanghai?

Vincent, you don't need a visa for that because you are eligible for visa-free transit in Shanghai. And you can enjoy free entry to HK for a stay of not more than 90 days.
