About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

I'm travelling from Country A, entering China, staying for about 60 hours,

going to country C, staying for 8 days (I have electronic clearance for country), and then going back to country A (country of origin). Would it present problems with getting 72-hour transit with the fact that Country A is my final destination on my ticket?

No. The Chinese immigration only cares about your first stop outside China.
