I will be arriving Nanjing airport about 2330 (11.30pm).

What's the cheapest mode of transport from airport to Sofitel Galaxy Airport Hotel?

Is your hotel located at no.9, Shanxi Road, Gulou District? If yes, you may take airport shuttle bus line 1 to NJ Railway Station. This bus will work to the last flight arrival at a cost of CNY20/person. Upon arrival, you are about 7 kilometers away from your hotel. You can take a taxi to your hotel directly.
