Can I use a visa/mastercard/american express credit card to purchase Shanghai subway tickets?

Well, I am afraid that you cannot purchase the subway ticket by a visa/MasterCard/American express credit card. The single trip ticket only accepts the cash. Besides, you can buy the transportation card by UnionPay Card, cash and Alipay.
