I have a Chinese F visa. I was given 30 days instead of 180 days. Will I be given a renewal in China

I applied for 180days to carry out academic research in China but was given 30days. Will I be given extension/renewal when I get to China. Also, how many months will I put on my return ticket? 30days or 180days? Thanks

Oyelakin, it's possible for you to extend your current F type at the exit and entry administration of the local PSB within China. The extended period won't exceed the original stay of duration.
