Uk Passport entering Shanghai for 48 hours then, leaving from Baoshan Port for a cruise 6 days

Hi, I am entering Shanghai for 2 days and departing from Baoshan Port to Japan for 6 days, then returning to Baoshan Port, Shanghai for a further 2 days then flying out. Do I require a visa as we do not have a travel agent?

Hi, if you travel like the UK-Shanghai(48 hours)-Japan-Shanghai(48 hours)-a third country instead of Japan, you are eligible for free transit in both directions. No need to apply for a visa then.
