Flying to Beijing then to Hong Kong back to Beijing then to Australia

Hi ..3 of us are flying to Beijing from Australia but flying out to Hong Kong on same day. We are hoping to go to Shenzen (not sure yet) then back to hong kong then fly back to Beijing for few days before flying back to Australia.
Can I use 72 hr transit twice?
Can you please advise what visa I need?

Hi, if you travel like Australia-Beijing-HK-(Shenzhen-HK)-Beijing-Australia, you can use 72 hour free transit in Beijing in both directions.
If you want to visit Shenzhen from HK, you need to apply for a tourist L type for Shenzhen.

L type is single entry to shenzhen or i go travel back n forth to Hong Kong.

Yes, you are right. No visa will be needed if you don’t go to Shenzhen.
A single-entry tourist L type for Shenzhen is enough.
