About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

If I buy a one way ticket to Beijing from Hanoi, Vietnam

then a separate one way ticket from Beijing to the US... does this apply? I will be in Beijing less than 24 hours.

John, separate tickets are also fine for the free transit policy. No need to worry!
