About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

72-hour rule if I am connecting to another airport afterwards inside China

Hello, I want to utilize the 72-hour visa-free transit policy in Beijing. My flight out of Beijing however will connect in Chengdu. I won't leave the airport in Chengdu, I will only connect to my flight to Los Angeles from there. I am originally entering China from Korea. Will it be a problem to use the 72-hour policy in Beijing? Thank you

The stop in Chengdu means you are limited to 24 hours direct transit from scheduled arrival time in Beijing to scheduled departure time from Chengdu. You can't use the 72-hour policy.
