How to get to Guangzhou from Hong Kong using a train

I would like to know how do I get to Guangzhou from Hong Kong airport using a train? Do I have to book the train ticket before or do I buy it at the train station?

Upon landing, take bus no.A21 from Airport (Ground Transportation Centre) to Hung Hom Station. The whole way takes around 75 mins. And the ticket fare is 33HKD per person. Then you can take the direct train to Guangzhou. It only takes around 2 hours on the way.
