nephew visiting

Question

Hi, I would like to have my nephew who I raised for a period of time stay with me for 3-6 months this coming fall, would he qualify as a S2 type? Also, my husband is here on a S1 type, can he legally work? If not, can we change his visa within Beijing if he gets an employment invitation letter?

Hi, your nepheew cannot apply for an S2 type to visit you.Your husband cannot work in China legally with the S1 type.He can try to convert the current S1 type to a work Z type at the exit and entry administration of the local PSB within China after his employer get him the work permit and other relevant materials.
