About:China Visa Fees

Our nephew over stayed his Chinese visa. Is there a fine or jail time?

Well, it depends on how many days he has overstayed. If it is quite a long time, he will be imposed with a fine of RMB 500 yuan per day, with a cap of RMB 10,000 yuan in total, or be detained for not less than five days but not more than 15 days. If he overstayed only for a few days, he may be only given a warning.
