my frend is overstaying

My friend is overstaying in china for 1year and 3months how much she pay the penalty？is she put in a jail?she wants to go back here in the philippines but she afraid if she pay the penalty and put her into jail.how long she stay in embassy

Carissa, usually, she needs to pay CNY500 per day after overstaying, but the capped amount won’t exceed CNY10,000.
If she reports the situation to the police station as soon as possible, she may not be put into a jail. She is advised to solve this problem quickly. The sooner, the better.
