About:China Visa Entries / Validity / Duration of Stay

Hi, I will land in Hong Kong then go to Shenzhen for three weeks in November 2017 then go home

What type of visa would I need? Can I buy one at the Chinese Embassy in Chicago, IL?

Hi, you need to apply for a tourist L type for that.
If the area where you reside belongs to the consular district of Chicago, you can make the application form Chinese Embassy in Chicago.
