How to go to Urumqi from Beijing/Guangzhou?

im from Malaysia so i have to choices either to fly to Guangzhou or Beijing.
Can you suggest the best route for me?

You are advised to fly to Beijing Capital Airport first. Then transfer to the direct flights from Beijing to the destination.
In addition, you can also take a train in Beijing, whose ticket is cheaper than Guangzhou. The train departs at 10:00 from West Railway Station and 15:15 from Beijing Railway Station.
