Extending tourist visa in China

Hi,

I am in Xi'an now, and wish to extend my tourist visa, which expires on April 16. Is it possible to do that in Xi'an? I got the visa for 60 days from Kathmandu, Nepal. Please let me know where I need to go to get this done, and the procedure (time needed to process the application, required documents, fee, etc.).

Kapil, yeah, it’s possible for you to apply for the extension at the exit and entry administration of the local PSB in Xian. You should do that 7 days prior to its expiry date. It takes 67 working days to get the result after you get the result.
You need to prepare those documents including your passport, a completed application form attached with a passport-style photo, valid registration form of temporary residence, the return ticket and hotel booking record.
