About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Flying in / Leaving on cruise ship

US citizen, flying into Hong Kong for 2 days, then flying to Shanghai for a 30 hour stay and then leaving on a 12 day Celebrity Cruiseline from Baoshan port. Cruise terminates in Hong Kong, and then flying back to US same day. Do you see any potential issues with 72 hour visa free transit?

If your travel route is USA-HK-Shanghai-a third country or region rather than HK- HK-USA, you will qualify for the 144 hour free transit in Shanghai.
