About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Amsterdam - Guangzhou - London - Amsterdam

Hi,

I will be traveling to China on April 28 (Amsterdam to Guangzhou with China Southern), and from Guangzhou to London on May 3, (London to Amsterdam on May 4.)

Do I qualify for the 144 hour visa free entry? Thank you so much for your answer.
Kind regards, Ilse

The 144-hour transit in Guangzhou is not in effect yet, and there's a chance that it won't be in effect by the time of your trip. Get a visa.

Thank you, John Doe. The thing is, my friend went to Guangzhou in January 2017 using this 144 transit and he told me about this possibility. So I guess it is in effect?

I'd like to ask to be sure that Amsterdam - Guangzhou (China Southern Airlines)
leaving Guangzhou - London
London - Amsterdam
works?

Thank you so much, Ilse

There have been no official reports so the only way to find out is to call them, which I did earlier this month and got the negative answer.
