Richard, may I know which city you will transit in China? Only when I know your detailed travel route I can tell you if you qualify for the 72 hour free transit. If you qualify for the free transit, you need to inform the carrier that you want to use the 72 hour free transit in China before you board the plane in Philippines. After arriving at Chinese port, you can go to the transit counter to apply for the 72 hour free transit.

Beijing to China? Actually, you do not qualify for the 72 hour free transit, but the 24 hour free transit may cover your trip if you travel in mainland China less than 24 hours.

Yeah I'm in Chingqing 1st for 15 hrs then I fly to Beijing. Both of my layovers are 15 hrs my flight to Beijing is 3 hrs.

I know Americans don't need a visa in china, yeah I probably get the 24 hr transit.
How do you get the 24 hr transit is before your flight you tell when you check in before your flight? Or when I arrive in China?

I checked in to my go i 16hr before when I fly from Chicago to South Korea
