Australian travelling to Chengdu via Hong Kong for 60 hours

My daughter is leaving for Chengdu on the 19th March 2017 via Hong Kong where she will transit. As she will be in Chengdu less than 72 hours and then return for 3 days in Hong Kong, does she need a China Visa?
