Best to apply for Visa in Australia with NZ or UK passport

Hi
for a NZ and UK dual citizen living in Australia (Melbourne) is it cheaper or easier to use the UK or NZ passport to apply for a single entry to China?

It's cheaper and easier to use the NZ passport to do the application.
