can i change my z visa to x2 while in china

Question

The company I was suppose to work for lied to me.  I still have the issued 30 days z type, u still have some weeks remains g before it expires. I would like to change it for a x2 student type. I have already found a school that will provide all the documentation required.Is there anyway that I can save myself some money by applying in the PBS within China and not have to go to hong kong to get this changed?Thanks for the help!

Katie, it’s possible for you to change the work Z type to a student X type at the exit and entry administration of the local PSB within China. Give it a try!
